Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern

Shirley (Xinhui) Li serves as a graduate intern with Culture Shift Team. She is a Human Development Studies master's program student at Peabody College in Vanderbilt University. Her professional interests are focused on leadership development and efficacy of employee resource groups and affinity groups to improve organizational performance within the framework of diversity, equity and inclusion. Her unique identity and lived experience is as an Asian student organizational leader and passionate champion for maximizing human potential through inclusion and belonging. Shirley brings to the team critical insights and nuanced cultural implications for strategy and approach. Serving as an organizational leader on the Peabody Vanderbilt campus through the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) provides Shirley with first-hand experience leading a volunteer organization aimed at impacting overall experience and organizational performance.
Shirley is a graduate of The University of the South, Sewanee, TN, with honors in both Psychology and Economics majors, with a minor in Business. In her spare time, Shirley loves playing tennis and boxing with a budding interest in ice skating. Her humor and positivity in work can always elevate the working atmosphere.
